Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) has been a proud partner of Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for more than 20 years, contributing over $2.2 million to support CHOP's mission of advancing pediatric care.

In 2026, PHLY expanded its commitment as the Presenting Sponsor of the inaugural I ❤ CHOP Run, Walk & Virtual Challenge, helping to launch a new tradition of community support for the hospital's most urgent needs.

I ❤️ CHOP Sends Funds Where Needed Most

CHOP serves an estimated 400,000 patients annually, each with unique and often complex needs.  With access to renowned cardiologists, orthopedists, geneticists, neonatologists, neurologists, and more, patients at CHOP often see doctors in more than one department to help tackle multisystem issues.

To ensure every department is able to continue their life-saving work, PHLY helped launch the I ❤️ CHOP Run, Walk & Virtual Challenge. This annual fundraising event benefits all of CHOP's doctors, nurses, researchers, and staff, enabling CHOP to funnel funds where needed most.  By supporting the hospital as a whole, I ❤️ CHOP helps ensure children receive the best possible care at all stages of their health journey.

$1.7M Raised at First Annual I ❤️ CHOP Event

Over 2,000 employees nationwide participated in our inaugural I ❤️ CHOP Run, Walk & Virtual Challenge. The event brought together football superstar Saquon Barkley, incredible CHOP patient ambassadors, and thousands of supporters to raise more than $1.7 million for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. TEAMPHLY showed up strong, and we proudly contributed $200,000 as the Presenting Sponsor.

TEAMPHLY Supports the CHOP Parkway Run & Walk

For two decades, TEAMPHLY has proudly supported CHOP by participating in the Parkway Run & Walk, which raises money for groundbreaking pediatric cancer research and care. Each September, we come together with thousands on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, to make a difference for children battling cancer. Our employees organized a series of office-wide fundraisers leading up to this event and helped raise $125,000 in 2025 to benefit the Cancer Center at CHOP.

Continuing Our Support

Here are some additional ways PHLY and our employees support CHOP:

  • The Parkway Run & Walk TEAMPHLY Challenge helps fundraising teams make an even bigger impact for kids with cancer by awarding an additional $5,000 to the top fundraising team's total and sponsoring a $500 matching challenge for 20 teams.

  • PHLY has pledged $500,000 in support of CHOP's Medical Financial Partnership program, which offers comprehensive support to help patient families build financial stability.

  • Committed to the health and well-being of underserved communities, PHLY employees have volunteered almost 100 hours at The Garden at the Nicholas and Athena Karabots Pediatric Care Center since 2023, assisting with gardening, weeding and planting. The gardens provide a bounty of high quality, culturally appropriate food to local families.
