Best Buddies' mission is to end social, physical, and economic isolation of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Philadelphia Insurance Companies is proud to support the expansion of Best Buddies Pennsylvania (BBPA) middle school program. The program pairs student volunteers without IDD (peer buddies) in one-to-one mutually enriching friendships with students with IDD (buddies) within participating schools. Since 2016, BBPA has added 18 new chapters at middle schools across PA thanks to support from PHLY. PHLY employees also volunteer regularly supporting Best Buddies programs, training, and events.
