What do you like most about the company?
I like the camaraderie among all of the different divisions within the company. Senior Management has created a culture of "teamwork", which results in everyone striving for the same goals. Every employee of the company has defined job goals, which helps PIC to deliver superior customer service to our clients.
As a company PIC is always looking to improve, and enlists feedback from our employees and clients. I like the fact that the company is always trying to get better. It is fun to work for a company whose management team listens to the needs of their employees.
What do you need to be successful with this company?
You need to be able to commit fully to your job. PIC is a company of motivated employees who are looking to be leaders in the industry. We are looking to set high standards of products and services to our clients. Every employee in the company goal is to handle their job with the utmost professionalism.
Describe the skills you have gained since you started.
I have learned in to accept change. The insurance business is ever changing, and if you want to be successful you cannot resist change.
What hobbies or interests do you have outside of work?
I played soccer in college, and continue to play soccer, basketball, and softball on recreational teams. Also, I coach my children's sports teams. I think the lessons you learn in athletics cross over to the business world. Learning to be humble in victory, and to be graceful in defeat.
What is your favorite company sponsored event?
I enjoy the boat cruise that the company has each year. It is nice to be able to socialize with your co-workers and their spouses outside of the work environment. The event always is well received by the employees.
