What company philosophy do you value the most?
I love our commitment to excellence as can be identified in the following:
- Our determination to always make an Underwriting profit. (a sub - 100% combined ratio for 10 years. The envy of our industry).
- Our Cutting – Edge approach to providing high quality service to our clients through automation. e.g., insured receiving their policies on CDs.
- Our ‘Bottom–up marketing’ approach to product development. (Soliciting the input of everyone who will be affected).
- Our commitment to the development of the whole person.
- As employees we are consistently being encouraged and rewarded to be involved in continuous educational development.
- Employees are constantly being encouraged to be involved in Physical / Mental Wellness Programs.
- We do find time to give back to our community through donations derived from “Employee’s contribution of $1 for wearing JEANS on predetermined Fridays”.
What advice would you give a new employee?
You need to be proactive in learning and be fully committed to the company’s Aims and Objectives (Culture). Avoid developing an "I vs. The Company" mentality and strive to be "I am the Company".
You should always be professional and be cognizant that the quality work you produce is a direct representation of you.
